NorgesGruppen works with corporate responsiblity in many ways. They have created a Code of Conduct based on guidelines from the UN and ILO which is applied to all of their suppliers. This Code of Conduct includes demands regarding human rights, labor standards, as well as care for the environment and animals.
When it comes to their own operations, NorgesGruppen sets a high standard as well. They have set high ambitions within environmental sustainability with clearly set goals that should be reached before 2014. These goals include recycling of 80% of their waste and reducing transport emissions by 50%.
NorgesGruppen puts much focus on offering their consumers organic and nutritious food selections, as they believe that they bear a responsibility in making sure people have an affordable opportunity to live healthy.
