The association’s vision is that its members will represent a guarantee of justice. They work with CSR through several initiatives to reach out to citizens:
Juristdagen: Once a year their members go out on the local squares in around 25 cities to make legal counselling available for the public, free of charge. Over the past 5 years they’ve helped over 10,000 people through this annual action day.
“The Rule of Law Award”: This annual award was established in 2006. The award acknowledges people or organizations that have played an extraordinary role in enhancing the rule of law in society.
Gatejuristen: The Norwegian Association of Lawyers also supports Gatejuristen, a voluntary organisation which offers legal rights counselling for people with addictions.
They also partner with several organizations to promote the rule of law and legal aid outside the Norwegian borders.
The Norwegian Association of Lawyers joined the Social Business Club to explore opportunities of creating a new business area within social entrepreneurship and in integrating the CSR strategy throughout their business.
