De Nye Pionerer
Tania Ellis’ debut book, “De nye pionerer – om sociale innovatører, der skaber vækst, værdi og en bedre verden” [The New Pioneers] was published by Jyllands-Postens Forlag in November 2006.
The book focuses on social innovation and the overlooked growth phenomenon social entrepreneurship. It is at the same time a contribution to the current public debate about what Denmark should live off in the future.
The key message is that capitalism and humanism are not irreconcilable. On the contrary, both “camps” are dependent on each other in order to succeed with their respective missions. Numerous new possibilities to create both economic and social value lie in this cross field.
DE NYE PIONERER presents a large number of Danish and international examples of established businesses and social innovators who have put sustainable development at the core of their activities. They challenge existing logics in the pursuit of balanced growth. Denmark can use this growth potential as part of its globalisation strategy.
