How can your company turn responsible AI dilemmas into concrete action?
AI is rapidly becoming part of everyday work – from writing and analysis to customer service and decision-making. For companies committed to responsibility and sustainability, this creates both new opportunities and new dilemmas: How do we use AI safely, ethically and with high quality? What does AI mean for our data, energy use and digital footprint? And how dependent do we want to be on a small number of global tech suppliers?
Responsible AI & Digital Sustainability in Practice is a practical workshop programme for B Corps and other companies that want to move from AI dilemmas to organisational action. Rather than lightly touching on everything, you will work in depth with the two areas where action will create the greatest value – or reduce the greatest risk – in your own organisation.
Key questions we’ll explore:
- How can we use AI to create value without compromising on ethics, quality and trust?
- Which policies, responsibilities and guidelines do we need for safe and responsible AI use?
- How do we reduce the digital footprint of AI and data – and avoid dependencies we can’t control?
- How do we build the competencies and culture needed to integrate responsible AI into our sustainability work?

What you will explore – five capability areas:
- Organisational Readiness (competencies, training, culture and integration into sustainability work)
- AI Governance (policies, responsibilities, approved tools and safe use)
- Ethics & Quality (human oversight, bias, hallucinations, transparency and quality assurance)
- Digital Sustainability (dark data, data minimisation, storage, resource consumption and energy impact)
- Digital Sovereignty (data location, supplier dependency, jurisdictions and strategic alternatives)
Using a shared framework and checklist, you will quickly assess your organisation’s readiness across the five areas and choose the two priorities you want to work on in the Action Labs.
How the programme works:
- Full-day workshop (Wednesday 25 November 2026, 09:00–16:30, Copenhagen) with trends and cases of AI in practice – the good, the bad and the ugly
- Shared framework + checklist to assess readiness across the five capability areas
- Two Action Labs where you work in depth with your two priority areas and turn them into a 30–90 day action plan
- Implementation period between the sessions, where you test or initiate actions in your own organisation
- 3-hour follow-up webinar (Thursday 4 February 2027, 09:00–12:00, online) to share results, barriers and next steps with the other participating companies
What participants will leave with:
- A shared language for responsible AI
- Two prioritised focus areas – with concrete action tracks
- Peer insights from other companies
- Practical actions for internal use
Who should attend?
- ESG / sustainability leads
- IT / digital / data leads
- Cross-functional change-makers
Responsible AI and digital sustainability cut across functions. The programme is especially valuable when two colleagues join from the same company – for example ESG/Sustainability and IT/Digital – as it makes it easier to turn the workshop insights into action back in the organisation.
Relevant for B Corps: Active participation in the programme can form part of a company’s Collective Action contribution under B Lab Standard GACA 2.3c. Participants receive a diploma documenting their contribution and its relation to the standard.
