TINE is a veteran within the area of CSR and currently has three main focus areas. The first of these is the area of Norwegian milk and their work with promoting a safe and responsible production of it, as well as preserving the culture and tradition that it has. For example, TINE supports the preservation of old manors where cheese is being produced as in the old days, and promotes the preservation of this knowledge.
The second focus area is sustainable resource use. This focus area has resulted in a long range of initiatives such as reducing CO2 emissions from transportation, making their packaging recyclable, minimizing their food waste, and with an aim of reducing their CO2 emissions by 30% by 2020.
The final focus area is nutrition. With the rise of diabetes, obesity and cancer, TINE recognizes that our consumption habits need to be improved, and that they have an important role to play in this.
