Sustainable consumption in Asia

LOHAS stands for Lifestyles Of Health And Sustainability, an acronym originating from market research in the US into game-changing consumers who are looking to change the world through consumption patterns and lifestyle choices.

LOHAS has morphed into a consumer movement in Asia, where normal people are using the term as a catch-all for all things sustainable, green, eco, better quality of life.

At the LOHAS Asia Forum 3-day conference 400 aspiring social entrepreneurs from around the region attended to network and learn more about how to target the LOHAS consumer more effectively – and to give them skills in technology, branding and communications to be able to reach the LOHAS consumer and succeed.

The programme of speakers included Ted Ning, LOHAS Group; Arnfinn Oines, Six Senses Resort; Amena Lee Schlaikjer, The Wellness Works; Raymond Nadeau, Living Brands and many more.

Tania Ellis contributed with a presentation on companies can put sustainability into practice through corporate purpose, employee engagement, partnerships and inclusive stakeholder communication.
